During the fall and winter, snowbirds visit and the weather is perfect for touring homes. With the influx of visitor and Northern Friends in the 55+ communities, homes tend to sell faster in these communities during this time of the year.

Is that typical for the Florida Real Estate Market?

In a normal year, on average across the country, fall and winter are the best times to put your home for sale in Florida 55+ communities  like Lake Ashton, Vienna Square, Traditions at Lake Ruby and Estates of Carlsberg. However, 2020 and 2021 are anything but normal. Florida saw a mass influx of people moving into the state throughout the year causing Inventory numbers to drop quickly.

The pandemic caused huge COVID-inspired migrations across the country that we have never seen before. In 2021 and 2022, Seasonal trends and real estate averages were skewed across the country. Real Estate took on a whole new “face”. Low interest rates and flexibility with at home work schedules were incentives for Buyers to make a move and purchase homes in Florida 55 Plus communities.
